Born in Prague, Tomas grew up surrounded by filmmaking all thanks to his family (grandfather IMDB link, father IMDB link). From an early age he was naturally drawn and fascinated by the whole principal photography and the post production process. Tomas had the experience of assisting his father in the editing room and naturally learnt best practices which would follow him into adult hood. Tomas has had the opportunity to express his talents as an actor in several feature films; however, his passion for cinematography was what steered him towards his career today. 

 

During his 10 years cinematography studies Tomas studied in a film college near Prague, then the FAMU University in Prague. Studying the craft at the FAMU he was able to develop and master his craft. Recognized for his talent was able to complete his Masters of Art in Cinematography. While studying at the FAMU he had the opportunity to get more experience overseas at the Chapman University in California.

 

During his studies he was occasionally working mostly on feature films and TV series as a 2nd unit DP, camera operator, DIT and VFX supervisor.
